Courtney Sas
Clinical Social Worker at St. Michael's Hospital

Courtney Sas is a clinical social worker who specializes in chronic kidney disease at St. Michael’s Hospital. In 2017, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School. Courtney is an Adjunct lecturer at the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and has been taking on Masters students since 2015.
She has published on advance care planning, end-of-life care, and kidney transplantation. In 2018 she was recognized as an Unsung Hero by the St. Michael’s Hospital Research Leadership committee and won the Social Work Clinical Excellence Award. In 2023 she was nominated by her colleagues and won the Living Our Values Award for the Kidney and Metabolism Program at St. Michael's Hospital.
